Social dancer from High-Newton-in-Cartmel, Westmorland, living in Haverthwaite at the time he was interviewed. Born 1883.
He was a pupil of Tommy Stainton from Backbarrow, and attended his classes in about 1887. In about 1889 Old Jos Robinson from Ambleside taught in the area for a few years and he, and his sister, went to these classes also. After that Alf Robinson also taught there for a short time.
