A solo step dance in 6/8 the island of Barra in the Hebrides.

Known to have been taught by Ronald Morrison of South Uist, the dance does not appear to originate with Ewan MacLachlan as do many other Hebridean solos, not being known to any of his other pupils.

Ronald Morrison is known to have taught the dance to Neil Buchanan who passed it onto his grandson Fearchar MacNeil. . Tom Flett acquired six steps from Fearchar MacNeil. and these are available in an undated and unattributed manuscript.

Fearchar MacNeil. is known to have taught Morag MacNeill who in turn taught Mary MacLean of Castlebay, Barra. Tom Flett collected six steps from Fearchar MacNeil. and these are available in an unattributed manuscript.

A notation for an interpretation of the dance by Frank Rhodes is also available.

A description is published in Flett, J.F. & T.M., Traditional Step Dancing in Scotland, Edinburgh: Scottish Cultural Press. 1996, 96-101,
