Cowper, Beatrice

Miss Cowper was interviewed with her sister, Elsie Cowper.

They were the daughters of Arthur C. Cowper and thus the nieces of Oliver Cowper of Workington.  They were able to supply lengthy family history of the Cowper family and their dancing activities.

They also recalled that their father had a Sword Dance over crossed swords which they never learned.  They were also able to teach a number of steps used in the fancy dances which formed part of their father’s repertoire.
