Robinson, Joseph William

Clog and step dancer, perhaps from Backbarrow, Cumbria.  Born 1877 died 1951. By trade a carter.

Son of Joseph William Robinson (Old Jos), he was an excellent step and clog dancer and taught at Lindal and Milnthorpe.  He had a black velvet belt with medals on it which he had won in a competition.

He was recalled by Y.E. Burrow who gave the following as three of his pupils:
