Dancing master from Hawes, Wensleydale, Yorkshire.
He taught dancing in his spare time and held classes every winter charging 1/- a night (5p). Known to have been teaching in about 1897. He was not a musician and employed a local man Octavius Metcalf to play the fiddle for the classes.
His repertoire is not known.
He taught Mr & Mrs Thwaite.
