Garnett, Mr

Dancing master.  Known to have taught in Whicham, Cumbria in the 1820s.

His only known pupil was Hannah Pool.

Tom Flett was able to copy out one of Mr Garnett’s Ball programmes for 5th April 1825, showing that he taught the following dances:

  1. Promenade March Dance
  2. Four Hand Reel
  3. Six Hand Reel
  4. Eight Hand Reel
  5. Hoop Dance
  6. Quadrilles
  7. Long Reel
  8. New Jockey Dance
  9. Spanish Dance
