Mr Bayne had attended classes run by Billy Urquhart in the Sportsman’s Inn, Dent in about 1900.  He recalled that he mainly taught the Highland Fling.

They recalled the dance repertoire in Dentdale as being:

They were able to provide a notation for the Three Reel, mostly done by men.  They particularly remembered Billy Sunter who could also step dance solo.  They were able to provide full or partial notations for:
