She was the widow of Joseph Robinson (Young Jos). She had been taught by her husband’s father Stainton Robinson. She was able to provide a very good account of her husband’s classes. The dances she learned from Stainton Robinson (and which were also taught by her husband) were:

- Highland Fling
- Irish Jig
- Military Two Step
- Quickstep
- Schottische
- Skipping Rope Dance
- Skirt Dance
- Three Reel
